1. Data Collection and Usage

We do NOT collect, transmit, distribute, or sell your personal chat data.

Our core functionality—extracting and downloading your conversations—happens entirely locally within your browser. The generated Markdown, JSON, TXT, or HTML files are created dynamically on your machine and downloaded directly to your hard drive.

2. Permissions Justification

To provide our services, our extensions request the following Chrome permissions. Here is exactly why they are needed:

• activeTab & tabs: Used exclusively to verify that you are currently on the supported AI platform's website (e.g., chatgpt.com) and to communicate with the content script that extracts the visual chat data. We do not track your browsing history.
• scripting: Required to inject the local content script into the specified AI chat page in order to read the chat bubbles you actively wish to export.
• downloads: Necessary to trigger the prompt that saves the generated export file (Markdown, HTML, etc.) to your computer.
• storage: Used solely to save your local extension preferences (e.g., your preferred export format) and your Pro tier subscription status locally on your browser.

3. Third-Party Services

We use Firebase Authentication exclusively for users who wish to upgrade to our Pro tiers. The authentication process is handled securely via standard OAuth/Firebase protocols to verify your license status. No personal chat data is ever sent to Firebase or our servers.

4. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our extensions evolve. We will notify you of any major changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
